Road Trip To Tennessee

My family in Tennessee had not met Andy yet so we took a road trip. The drive up was great- Andy slept the whole time!! Mark really wants a GPS.... so he made his own. He's crazy!

Our first stop was in Lewisburg, TN to visit Pete, Joy, Anna Boyd, and Hardin. We had a great visit! Andy was the center of attention and loved every bit of it.
Nana came over to visit and have dinner with us. She adores him!

Anna Boyd and Hardin were great with him. They both changed their first diapers. Woohoo!!!Hardin entertained Andrew for hours with a stuffed animal that lights up. Anna Boyd became a pro at walking him around.
Our second stop was in Columbia, TN to visit Andrew's great grandparents. They had heard all about him and seen tons of pictures but nothing compares to holding him.
Andrew was so sweet to Grandmother. He was smiling, talking, and holding her hand! Granddaddy didn't want to let Andy go. It was so nice to see Granddaddy loving on Andy.

Our third stop was at Nana's house. She cooked a wonderful dinner for us. After dinner we sat outside on her swing with Andy and talked while Mark and Mr. Gene played on the computer.

Love the GPS! Andy is so cute... I love his 'laughing' pictures. We'd be happy to have everyone over to our lake if people are up for the drive (its about 30-45 minutes from Rome) If not we'll gladly come up there! Do you keep in contact with Alan & Jessi?

Sounds like you are keeping the roads hot this summer! Enjoy the time with your family, especially your grandparents. There's nothing like them.

I love finding new blogs to read! How fun to find you on here...small world! I found your blog through Daniel and Heidi Hicks, who are now family to our best friends Andy and Bethany Freeman (Heidi's brother married Bethany's sister)....so link by link here are the Joneses!
Your baby boy is gorgeous! I also struggled when I left Noah to go back to work when he was six weeks old...tough times! At least it was only for a week. I look forward to seeing him grow on your blog!

Nicole had a lot of prelabor. Labor and prelabor totaled 54 hours of contractions. She had an epidural for the last 4 hours because things had slowed down... but she had a vaginal birth. They are doing well and will be moving to Lousiana in the next 6 months or so. Since Nicole is no longer working she does not have access to the internet which is why you haven't heard from her in a while. Breastfeeding is going well for them but are still not getting much sleep. :-)
