Andrew is a bike riding machine!!! He loves to ride his bike and rides it almost everyday. Last week he rode it all the way around the one mile loop at the park. He only had to get off one time to walk it up the hill. I was so proud of him!
This weekend we had a family day at the park: bike riding, walking, picnic, and playground. Mark was happy to see him ride his bike all the way around too! If we aren't riding at the park, then we are riding in the neighborhood. Nathanael enjoys going for walks in the stroller or walking half way and then riding in the stroller. So it's a win win for all of us :)
Today we invited The Bendik's to come to the park with us. Andy enjoyed riding his bike with this buddy Everett. Andy has a bike with training wheels and Everett has a strider bike. A strider bike is a bike with no pedals- the child uses their feet to push off the ground and feet to stop- it is great for learning to balance. Christina and I joked saying if we put the two of them together then we would have a child that could really ride a bike. At the end of the day the walk we told the boys to switch bikes... it was hilarious! Andy was not used to balancing so he was going so slow. Everett had never pedaled and was going no where fast. So we switched back and we were moving fast again :)
Nate is as happy as can be with food. He likes watching the boys ahead of him and eating.
After our walk/ride we had a picnic and then headed to the playground. Christina snapped this picture of Nate and I as we came down the slide. Yes, I'm 30 and still go down slides... the static in my hair will prove it :)
Little Miss Juliette, who will be one this month, was ready to get of the stroller and play too! Isn't she just the cutest thing all bundled up? She loves her Mommy!
