Apple Pickin'

Nothing says Fall quite like Apple Pickin' in Ellijay, GA. We had a fun filled day including pickin' apples, wagon rides, milking cows, and enjoying delicious apple treats such as apple fritters, apple pies, and apple cider donuts. Yummy! But what made it extra fun?!?

 Our FRIENDS!!!
My college roommate came with us! She is SO dear to me! I just can't say enough wonderful things about Courtney Couch!
Andy's cute little friend, Dena, came with us too. They were excited to see each other!

Dena' mom, Kristin, and I have become good friends over the past year. Her husband is also a student at Life University.  He was attending a seminar, so he wasn't able to come with us.

Last year we went earlier in the apple season and the trees were FULL of apples. This year they were hard to find. So we've learned that it's best to go in September to pick apples. Either way, we had a great time!

We went to Hillcrest Apple Orchards and they have many family friendly activities.... one thing we all tried this year was milking a cow. Yup! We all learned how to milk a cow. Interesting!

Our stickers say, "I milked Buttercup". Definitely a first for us!

We have tons of apples. Please let me know if you have any good apple recipes!

Linds~ maybe we should plan a Mtn "Moms-N-More" next Fall and all go pick apples together! we did not drink the cow's milk, that wasn't an option :)
