It's AMAZING to worship with 42, 000 college students praising the name of Jesus and claiming His promises. It's one of those moments in life where you really just don't have words to explain it.

I still can't wrap my mind around all that happened at Passion 2012. The "poor college" students, the "lost generation",  raised more that 3 million dollars to help those in modern day slavery. Yes, slavery still exist today. There are actually 27 million people in slavery, which is more than ever in history.  80% of human trafficking victims are women. 2,500 women and children are sold into sexual slavery everyday. Every minute 2 children are sold into slavery. It's happening all around the world and even in the US. Right now there are at least 200,000 slaves in the USA and 17,000 more will be trafficked into the US next year. Atlanta is a major hug of human trafficking and child sex exploitation.

This group of college students blew me away. The goal was to raise 1 million and with their generosity 3 million was raised. When Jesus calls us to do something in HIS name nothing will stop his purposes. Freedom was proclaimed and Jesus was exalted!

 Here are some totals for you:

- $3,066,670  to end slavery

- 36,000 towels collected for homeless shelters in Atlanta

- 156,000 socks to give to homeless

- $148,000 for Passion World Tours

You might wonder what's with the hand. As you gave money to the Do Something Now Freedom fund, then you helped create the Freedom Art Installation. The sculpture told the story of slavery and ultimately freedom. The materials used to create the sculpture include used and reclaimed items found on the Department of Labor's list of top good produced by forced labor and child labor around the world. The used material were collected by the passion team from trash piles and donations.

In it's final form, the Art Installation is a visual reminder for the city of Atlanta and for the world that slavery still exists but, that there are a generation of young people who are rising up, giving their lives, and adding their voice to the growing cry to bring and end to slavery once and for all.
