We had a wonderful time celebrating Nathanael's 2nd birthday at McCollum Airport. He loves planes, so we thought this would be a perfect spot for the party. We meet all our family at Elevation Chophouse for lunch. The restaurant is beside the runway and has a full glass front, so we had an awesome view of all the planes landing and taking off.
Two planes landed and pulled right up to the restaurant. We went outside to see them and asked the owners if we could take a picture with the planes. One of them was cleaning out his plane and allowed us to go inside.... such fun special treat for our boys! Nate even sat in the pilots seat!
After lunch we had cake and ice-cream. Nate was so excited to have birthday cake. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said, "birthday cake". When he woke up on his birthday Mark, Andrew, and I put on birthday hats and went in his room singing, "Happy Birthday to you..". He said with excitement: "birthday cake!?!". Love him!!!
We loved having our family celebrate Nathanael with us!
Andrew was excited to celebrate Nathanael. He kept saying, "Nate, today is your special day! You are two today! You're getting to be a big boy now."
It was such a gorgeous day! We decided to take full advantage of the his special day and went to the park to fly kites!
We are so thankful for Nathanael! His name means 'gift of God' and THAT he is!! We adore you buddy!
