Andy's first swim meet

Andrew is on a swim team this year! It's a swim team for 3-5 year olds. They practice Monday-Friday for 30 minutes each day and have 3 coaches in the pool with them at all times. It's WONDERFUL! I really can't say enough great things about it! I love that he is swimming each day, learning different strokes, playing games, interacting with many other children, and has 3 coaches to listen to and obey. It also adds a fun structure to our mornings. Nate has enjoyed it as well: there is a 'baby pool' for him to play in with other little children.

Andrew's first swim meet was tonight and he did great! His coaches call him 'Awesome Andrew'... he gets the cutest little smile each time the say it. Too cute! They started off swimming half the length of the pool. Next was backstroke- honestly that was really amusing to watch. The last race was the longest... they jumped off the starting blocks and swam freestyle the entire length of the pool.  There was a coach with each child incase they needed assistance.

Andrew was nervous but did really well. We are so proud of him!

Andrew is action:

Backstroke- they all needed a little help from the coaches

He was all smiles after swimming

Nate was a good sport watching and cheering him on. After his race he gave him a hug and said, "Good Job swimming Buddy". So sweet!
