First Braves Game

We took the boys to their first Braves game this weekend and had a great time! It was actually more fun that I thought it would be! I was a little nervous about sitting for 9 innings of a baseball game with a 2 and 4 year old. When we arrived at the stadium the kids thought is was, "Awesome!". We walked around the stadium and let them look at a few cool things then found our seats. We watched the game for the first few innings while 'trying' to explain the rules of baseball to the boys. Then we had a few snacks that I had brought. The kids were getting really wiggly so Mark took them to the 'kids area' on the top level where they played a little baseball game with other children, played on a playset, and walked around. Then we  watched a few more innings and took a bathroom break. On our way back we got a treat- frozen lemonade! The kids loved it and it occupied them for another inning or two! After the game we stood in line for the kids to 'run the bases'. It was so neat! The let the kids out on the field to run the bases and give them a Braves t-shirt and certificate. It made for a really fun day!

Here is a little video clip of the boys 'running the bases'. I was NOT at a good place to video. The parents on the field with the kids until it's their turn to run the bases and then the parents walk in a line between the seats to get their kids. So next time Mark will take the kids down and I will find a better place to stand to video or photo. When the video starts our boys are on third base running home. Nate is  running beside a Braves worker- if they are his age they have to have someone run alongside them. Andrew is in a blue shirt running behind him.

Thanks to the Cunningham Family for providing us with great covered club seats right behind home plate! The boys loved it and we are so grateful!
